For parents, one of the most frightening things that can happen is seeing a child get injured, fall unconscious, or go into any other kind of medical

emergency. As your trusted CPR and first aid providers, it’s our job at New England Safety First to train you to respond if any of those unfortunate possibilities are ever to occur. We strive to provide the highest quality of training in pediatric first aid and CPR for all those in or around the New England area. We’d like you to think about taking the time to learn these important skills.

Who Should Receive Pediatric First Aid Training?

This course is designed for childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors and coaches. Parents with young children and adolescents are also highly encouraged to attend. This course will give you the education and confidence you need to effectively care for children in an emergency until professional help arrives. Topics include: first aid basics, medical emergencies and CPR with Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants will receive an EMS Safety Heartsaver CPR and Pediatric First Aid Course Completion Card. The people we believe that would benefit the most from these classes include:

  • Medical and non-medical professionals requiring certification
  • Child care providers
  • Early childhood educators
  • Youth organization members
  • Camp counselors and coaches
  • Parents, grandparents, and guardians

Even if you don’t fall into one of those categories, our training is still recommended and can be given to absolutely anyone who has the interest in learning how to properly respond to an emergency that involves an infant or a young child. By being certified in pediatric first aid and CPR, you’ll be prepared if there’s a real-life emergency. Our training is fun, stress-free, and designed to teach you how to take appropriate action in any common emergency involving a child.

This comprehensive course combines adult, child, and infant CPR classes which goes over a multitude of safety skills. You will learn the necessary preparation skills for handling emergency situations for all ages. Learn the recommended number of rescue breaths when performing infant CPR, as well as when chest compressions are recommended.

  • Scene Safety
  • The Chain of Survival
  • Recognition of a Heart Attack and Cardiac Arrest
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • The CAB’S
  • Mouth-to-Mouth Ventilations
  • Signs of Circulation (including pulse check)
  • Chest Compressions
  • Compression Only CPR (Adult)
  • One Rescuer CPR (Adult, Child, Infant)
  • Two Rescuer CPR (Adult)
  • Rescue Breathing
  • Choking (Adult, Child, Infant)
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

This infant CPR class also combines adult CPR and child CPR to prepare you for any emergency situation.
